Gila River Arena is spread over 25 acre. It contains a retractable roof and a roll-out field, which was the first of its kind in North America. The retractable roof has two large panels that will retract to uncover the entire playing field. The retractable panels were supported on two Brunel trusses which are 700 feet long and with a depth of 87 feet at the center. Peter Eiseman, along with HOK Sport are the architects of this arena. Total cost of arena is $220 million.
